Hank Williams Jr. is back and inviting all his rowdy friends to "Monday Night Football" six years after he and his song were dumped by ESPN.
The network dropped the country singer and his famous theme song in the wake of controversial statements he made comparing then-president Barack Obama golfing with then-House Speaker John Boehner to Adolf Hitler golfing with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Why bring him back?
"I think it's a return to our past in that it's such an iconic song associated with football," ESPN senior vice president of events and studio production Stephanie Druley told The Tennessean. "It was the original. It belongs to Monday Night Football. It really is about returning to what fans know. It's a Monday night party, and that's what we're all hoping to get back to."
$$$$$$$$ And the liquid logic spun by those boyish, just want to get along problem solvers who like people but have an agenda .And another racist barb being served in the name of a song, that would only be heard in a C&W bar otherwise, also another example of what the NFL stands for, not for love, but money .
